The movement of the cutting head on the bridge (X axis – cross travel) is motorized and equipped with an electronic speed controller. This allows the machine to cut at various speeds, depending on the thickness and hardness of the material being processed.
The up and down movement of the cutting head (Z axis) is also motorized, allowing quick and easy adjustment of the blade’s level. Limit switches on both the X and Z axes enable simple stroke length setting.
Additionally, the cutting head features pneumatic tilting of the blade up to 45°, making it easier to perform mitre cuts.
The Lynx is also equipped with a programmable electronic measuring system that monitors the front-to-back movement (Y axis – long travel) of the bridge over the side rails. As the operator moves the bridge in and out, the display shows the distance traveled, which can easily be reset to zero at the touch of a button.
From the main menu, the operator can select manual or automatic mode.
In automatic mode, up to nine different cuts can be programmed, each repeated up to 99 times. The machine adjusts for blade thickness automatically and performs all cuts at the selected speed after pressing START.
In manual mode, the operator uses the laser guide to position the blade and move the bridge in or out. A single measurement can be entered for the head to move automatically. After pressing START, the cut is made, and the head returns to its initial position.
The Lynx supports blades up to 550 mm (recommended: 400 mm).
Its 360° rotating table allows precise angle cuts, with fixed stops every 45° and manual positioning for any angle. Two pneumatic locks secure the table during cutting.
The table also tilts from 0° to 80°, powered by hydraulic pistons for easy slab loading and unloading.
